Denise Delaney MSc TCM, Lic. Ac. Is a licensed Acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist, massage therapist. She has a Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Middlesex University.
Since 1995 she has provided treatments in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Acupressure, Shiatsu, Thai Yoga Massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Reiki, Pregnancy massage, and massage for Cancer Care. Denise has extensive experience in a wide range of therapies; and she may combine some of them for better results. A combination of approaches is scientifically proven (Cochrane Review Board) to be more effective than one sole therapy. Denise is constantly upskilling and updating her techniques. It is her aim and purpose to successfully relieve you of your injury, pain or discomfort, and to help you restore your full health and fitness. |

I have been attending Denise on a regular basis since 2008 when she set up in Galway. I have mainly had acupuncture and had herbs recommended by her. I have seen her for a variety of ailments. I first went to her for symptoms of menopause, and I was at my wits end with hot flashes and low mood. The acupuncture and herbs prescribed greatly relieved my symptoms and helped my mood and sleep. In 2009 I had a bad fall and hurt my knee. Again, I found the acupuncture greatly assisted the healing process and reduced pain. She has also treated TMJ and back pain successfully. I find the combination of herbs and acupuncture really works for me. I have had herbs prescribed several times for stress and for general physical health or when I feel a bit run down. I have found they always gave me a great boost and improved my health greatly.

Denise is a great healer and has a wonderful manner. She is very empathic and non judgemental. I personally like and appreciate this a lot. She has no problem recommending conventional medical intervention if necessary. She is very professional, and her prices are very reasonable. Going to Denise was my first time having acupuncture and I was a little unsure what to expect. Almost immediately I was impressed by Denise’s warmth, empathy and professionalism. The consultation before the first session was to my mind thorough and holistic and she seemed to me to be very experienced and knowledgeable. This continued throughout the sessions, with Denise carefully monitoring my progress, discussing with me how I felt things were going and giving me helpful tips of how I might manage my pain/condition better. Very quickly, I began to feel the first pain relief without painkillers I’d had in months. For me personally, the sessions were both relaxing and soothing to the extent that on several occasions I fell fast asleep. As I was experiencing acute pain at the time and having difficulty sleeping, these sessions really helped to improve my mood and outlook. I also recommended Denise to my father, who was very sceptical about the whole thing, but having tried it left singing her praises. I therefore have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Denise to anyone or returning to her if I ever have the need.

Denise is an excellent therapist, personal, warm and yet professional. First attended for relief of sinus issues and received reflexology, and acupressure head massage, and manual lymphatic drainage. It brought great relief. Denise explained the process and I always felt comfortable and listened to. Have continued to attend over the years as maintenance for my body as well as a treat, because I’ve always left each treatment as if walking on air feeling totally recharged and refreshed. Highly recommend this very knowledgeable, experienced therapist.
